The Watson Street Car Show will cruise into downtown Ripon for the 20th-straight year Saturday as part of Septemberfest.

And it won’t be doing so alone.

The Ringbrothers, a car-building company from Spring Green, Wis., that has won numerous design awards over the past decade, will help celebrate the show’s anniversary with a custom car display.

“They’re nationally known for just making and fabricating really awesome cars,” Ripon Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Jason Mansmith said of the Ringbrothers. “So they’re going to be in talking, of course, with our car show enthusiasts.”

The Ringbrothers’ presence only adds to the Watson Street Car Show, which is one of the signature events of Septemberfest.

It will run the duration of the festival (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) in downtown Ripon, with cars lining Watson Street. The show has grown so much since its inception in 1999 that it has begun to take over some of the side streets around Watson.

Mansmith noted that the intention this year is to have all the cars, along with the motorcycles that make up the seventh-annual Watson Street Cycle Show, continue down Watson Street as far as they need to.
