Lights were flashing and people were laughing as they spent a night out with their friends in uniform.

Green Lake County held its third-annual National Night Out Tuesday night in Green Lake. It was Green Lake’s first time hosting the event.

Representatives from county police forces, Green Lake County Sheriff’s Office, local fire stations, ambulance teams and the Department of Natural Resources attended the event, sharing information about their work.

Families had the chance to explore emergency response vehicles, hear sirens, pet dog officers in the K9 units and collect a baggie of free giveaways.

Along with booths for each representative, attendees could also enjoy food and games, such as tricycle racing, mega Jenga, rock painting, ring toss and more.
