Increased self-esteem

   Improved school attendance

   Better grades

More effective communication with their parents

These are the benefits the representatives of the Boys & Girls Club of the Tri-County Area noticed in Berlin students as the club partnered with Berlin School District for a mentorship program.

However, the Berlin School District will not be the only district seeking such changes in its students.

Green Lake School District will join the ranks as well, starting next school year.

The Boys & Girls Club recently received a grant totaling $286,000 from the Basic Needs Giving Partnership, which is supported by the U.S. Venture Fund for Basic Needs within the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation, the J.J. Keller Foundation and other community partners.

The funding will enable the club to expand its services and mentorship program to Green Lake.
