For the second time in less than a month, Dodge Memorial Park beach is put under swimming advisory again due to elevated E. coli levels.

The Green Lake County Health Department put the beach under advisory this Monday after the Green Lake Sanitary District received the test results from a sample it took Monday, July 1. The sample recorded 649 cfu/mL (colony-forming units per milliliter), according to an announcement by the Green Lake Association.

When E. coli levels fall between 235-999 cfu/mL, a swimming advisory is posted.

The last time a swimming advisory was posted for the beach was the week of June 13.

Green Lake Sanitary Department may receive the results for its new water sample later this week.
