With COVID-19 forcing students to learn at home, many staples of the school year such as concerts were at risk of not happening.

The Green Lake School District is not about to let the students’ hard work this semester go to waste.

It will live stream a middle and high school choir virtual spring concert Friday at 7 p.m.

The stream will be available on Green Lake School’s YouTube Channel, www.youtube.com/user/GreenLakeSchool or through the YouTube link found on its website.

“This is a very special and unique concert for us,” said Virginia Pollock, Green Lake School K-12 general music and choir director. “Green Lake music students have been working remotely over the past six weeks to create individual and small group projects that combine technology tools with creative content. Our students will share a wide range of amazing projects, from comedic tutorial and poetry videos to music videos and digital audio compositions, to recorded acoustic performances.”

“We are so excited to present this special and unique event to our community; we hope the whole community will help us show support for the students by sending our live stream views through the roof!”

She added the concert is “a celebration of our students and the uniting power of the performing arts.”

“We may not be together, but we don’t have to be apart,” Pollock said.
