Fireworks reflect on the waters of Dartford Bay as Green Lake commemorates the Declaration of Independence.

Green Lake hosted a smorgasbord of events to commemorate America’s Independence last week Thursday.

Deacon Mills Park opened for business at noon, hosting multiple food vendors, and Dan Braaksma jammed on the Starlight Stage until 4:30 p.m.

At about 1:45 p.m., the patriotic-themed boat parade arrived at Deacon Mills Wharf.

The Independence Day parade marched from the Caestecker Public Library, down Lake Street. The parade turned on South Street, marching past North Bay Sport & Liquor, before turning onto Mill Street.

After the parade, Ivory Tower rocked the Starlight Stage until the firework display went off over Dartford Bay at dusk.
