Green Lake District 3 Ald. George King will be on the ballot in April for Green Lake City Council alderman.

The April elections may be an old hat for Green Lake District 3 Ald. George King, who’s up for re-election after being on the City Council since 2011.

However, the same cannot be said for District 2 Ald. Kevin Karau.

Karau has served almost one year on the council after he was appointed last January to fulfill a vacancy left by D’Lene Sandleback’s resignation at the end of 2017.

Since Karau served the rest of Sandleback’s term, which ended this year, April will bring Karau’s first official election for council alderman.

As of press time, Karau hasn’t yet submitted his paperwork for candidacy, but King has.

The two are running uncontested, meaning it may be an easy win for King and Karau if there are no significant write-ins.
