Four candidates are running for four seats on the Green Lake School Board, but that doesn’t mean this Tuesday’s election won’t matter.

Three incumbents — one a board veteran, two appointees — and one newcomer will fill out the ballot.

They are Ron Triemstra, Mike Klemp-North, Andy Gryske and Loni Meiborg.

Due to resignations and retirement, there’s one more spot open than normal. However, the top three vote-getters each will serve three-year terms, while the fourth-place finisher only will serve a one-year term.

Residents may cast votes for up to three of them. To help Green Lake School District (GLSD) voters decide who they’ll pick Tuesday, April 4, the Commonwealth sent a questionnaire to the candidates.

Triemstra, Klemp-North and Gryske answered the questions, while Meiborg indicated she was unable to respond at this time.
