     Folks of all ages gathered behind Town Square Tuesday for Mill Pond Terrace’s grand opening.

     The celebration gave patrons their first look at the venue and conjoined beer garden, Town Square Tap.

     The event opened to the public at 7 p.m. after a donor-appreciation event. At 6:45 p.m. patrons gathered for a toast and an unveiling of the donor wall.

     Green Lake Renewal President Fran Hill gave a brief speech, reflecting on her group’s efforts and thanking more than 400 donors who contributed to make Mill Pond Terrace a reality.

     “I can’t say thank you enough for making this all happen,” Hill said to the crowd. “Who else has the opportunity to live in a community this fantastic?”
Hill then lead a countdown, before the tarp covering the donor wall fell to the ground. ...
