Ripon isn’t just down the street from you; it’s now also right “Around the Corner.”

John McGivern, an actor-turned-host/producer of “Around the Corner with John McGivern,” spent three days filming in Ripon last week, interviewing an array of businesses and individuals from the community.

The show’s website describes it as showing viewers “all the rich and vibrant history of Wisconsin through its diverse neighborhoods. Hear local stories as old as the state itself then see up-and-coming small businesses.”

So, how did it accomplish this for Ripon?

McGivern, producer Lois Maurer and a film crew met with a variety of people. Among those interviewed were homeowner Mary Reabe, historian Bill Woolley, “Tuba” Dan Jerabek, Mayor Gary Will and Todd Kaull of Alliance Laundry Systems.

Then they also spoke with a handful of business owners, including Andy Radke of Roadhouse Pizza and Bryan Ernst of Ernessi Organics.
