Members of the Ripon Area School Board have decided to make no change to the dress and grooming guidelines at the middle and high schools.
“First of all, I’m not convinced there’s a real problem,” School Board member David Scott said as members discussed possible changes Monday.
He added there will be “just as many complaints” if the policy is amended.
Board member Dan Zimmerman acknowledged there have been concerns raised lately, saying youth wearing revealing clothing has been “a big problem” at the middle school.
But the board ultimately decided any new policy would cause as many issues as the current one, and so it kept the status quo. The district, however, will step enforcement of its existing rules.
