   Month after month, the Ripon Senior Activity Center has come before the Park & Recreation Committee.

   It’s message has been simple: consider us for the nearly half-million-dollar Lloyd Mitchell gift, because we’re working toward building a new senior center.

   Some Park and Recreation Committee members, however, believe that message has been too simple ...

   With that in mind, the Park and Recreation Committee is expected to hold a special meeting in the next couple weeks at which members will determine exactly what information they expect from organizations.

   That meeting will flesh out requirements such as “how the grant dollars will be utilized, what the expected costs are, continued upkeep ...,” Mansmith said.
