One year ago, the Ripon Area Chamber of Commerce kicked off a new campaign aimed at boosting the community’s morale.
“The idea was to get buy-in from local residents to express their sense of pride and joy for Ripon,” chamber executive director Jason Mansmith said.
Why a push for pride? After losing the cookie factory and trudging down a tough road for downtown Ripon, the community needed a little uplifting, chamber officials felt.
But could the community find something positive to say?
One year later, Mansmith had an answer.
“The people of Ripon did respond, and we were given some excellent stories, pictures, videos, and comments,” he said.
He shared this bit of positivity last week Wednesday night, as the chamber held its annual dinner, this time at the new location of J’s BBQ.
