   Location, location, location.

It’s not just a platitude preached by real estate agents.

It’s also the story of J’s BBQ.

Immediately after reopening in arguably the most prominent downtown space, J’s BBQ has been inundated with eager and hungry patrons seeking brisket, ribs and more.

“There are so many people who have been really, really wonderful,” owner Jen Rintleman said.

Ripon’s only barbecue joint reopened Nov. 18 at 333 Watson St., weeks after closing its former space adjacent to Plaza Bowl on Ripon’s west side.

Since opening, it’s been nothing but good news for the owners.

“It’s been absolutely amazing,” owner Susan Reiterman said of the strong customer support at the new location. “It’s beyond flattering; it’s beyond rewarding.”
