In French Adventure’s 29th-year in the Ripon Area School District, 21 Ripon students and their families hosted 21 students from Paris, France.

After spending months preparing to meet each other, the French students finally arrived May 10, staying until last week Friday.

The students were welcomed to the Ripon community and were introduced during an assembly at the Murray Park/Quest Elementary School.

During their two weeks as guests at Murray Park/Quest, the French group was provided with their own classroom, were included in activities and lessons in the school and experienced lunch and recess with the student body.

The students also visited an alpaca farm and Pollock Farm, and toured Vines and Rushes Winery, Ripon College, Lambeau Field, the Little White Schoolhouse and the Ripon police and fire departments.

When the French group had to leave last week Friday, water poured from the skies and people’s eyes as they cried and hugged during their farewells.
