Ripon College will host a Community Health and Wellness Fair featuring presentations and tours of the fitness center by students, an expo of local health-care providers, and free snacks and door prizes.

The fair will be held Sunday, April 7 from 2 and 4 p.m. in the Willmore Center off Union Street.

According to Ripon College Director of Sustainability Alice Reznickova, students will play a large part in the day’s events.

“We will have a number of different activities presented by students from our classes who worked on their interdisciplinary understanding of health and wellness,” she said. “We also will have some exercise science students who will be giving an overview of the facilities. They will be giving walking tours and introductions to the fitness center.”

Reznickova’s own environmental studies students will be presenting as part of the fair.

Additionally, she said that the exercise science students will model Wellbeats classes, a type of digitally assisted exercise program offered by the college.

Professor of Biology Robin Forbes-Lorman, whose students will be presenting projects at the health fair, explained that student projects were designed to be of interest to the Ripon community.
