On the last day of school June 7, Lumen Charter High School threw one last party for its students, alumni and staff in remembrance of the charter school and the memories they all made there.

The party consisted of cook-out food with a picnic setting, laughter and memories.

The party was open to alumni of the school at the request of the Lumen Charter High School governance board so that they, too, could receive closure as Lumen completed its last year as a charter school.

Due to declining enrollment over the past several years, the governance board and Ripon Area School Board decided to end the charter school’s contract and to operate Lumen for one more year as a program.
