For four years in a row, the Ripon Area School District (RASD) has retained a four-out-of-five-star rating on its district report card.

That means the district will continue to be rated as “exceeds expectations,” according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) website.

The department recently released the district report cards for schools statewide, which showed the district’s score for the 2018-2019 school year dipped from 79.9 out of 100 in 2017-2018 to 78.4 in 2018-2019.

Though the district’s score may have slightly decreased, it still remains as one of the top achieving districts in the area, based on the report cards.

   How the district’s schools performed

Three schools in the district — Murray Park Elementary School, Journey Charter School and Catalyst Charter Middle School — each received a five-star rating of “significantly exceeds expectations.”

According to Superintendent Mary Whitrock, “Murray Park [Elementary School], Ripon Middle School and Ripon High School scores did go up while we saw drops at Quest [Elementary School] and Catalyst [Charter Middle School].”
