Neisius, Richard (Dick), age 78, of Santa Rosa, California, passed away on November 22, 2018. Richard was born in Hartford, Wisconsin, the son of Gerda Krause and Nick Neisius. He graduated from high school in Ripon, Wisconsin in 1958 as a National Merit Scholar. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia in 1962.

Richard is survived by his five children, Laura (Dave) Arnold, Rohnert Park, CA; Scott Neisius, Oshkosh, WI; Becki (Brian) Swenson, Hartford, WI; Sarah Rasmussen, Omro, WI and Dawn Neisius, Riverside, CA and by 11 grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and the mothers of his children, Lucille Jung, Omro, WI and Bonnie Neisius, Riverside, CA. Richard is also survived by his three siblings, Robert Thiele, Brooklyn, NY and Miami, FL; Susan (Steven) Donnell, Cornelius, NC and Margaret (James) Gast, Plover, WI. Richard was predeceased by his parents and his loving partner of twenty years; Betty Molinelli.

Richard had a distinguished career as an IT professional in the financial and insurance industries. He had a lifelong passion for photography beginning as a child when he set up a fully functional darkroom in his bedroom closet. He loved reading, the outdoors and the San Francisco Giants. A big baseball fan, he enjoyed taking his grandson to ballparks around the country. Richard had a beautiful voice and joyfully participated for many years in his church choir in addition to serving his church in various capacities. A humble man, he treasured his family and friends and the simple pleasures of life. A special joy was exploring the back roads of the country in his beloved red Miata.
