The Green Lake County Sheriff's Department has released the identity of a man who died Monday evening in a farming accident just west of Ripon.

   Bob Kallio, the former director of the Ripon Children's Learning Center, passed away as a result of the incident.

   A Green Lake man died tonight (Monday) in what has been determined to be a fatal farming accident.

   The identity of the 61-year-old male has not yet been released, pending notification of family members.

   The incident occurred near the corner of Brooklyn G and Spaulding Hill roads in the town of Brooklyn.

   According to a press release sent out tonight, a 911 call was made at 6:22 p.m. reporting that a tractor had rolled over, trapping someone underneath.

   Emergency responders arrived on scene within five minutes, but by the time paramedics got there it was "determined that the subject was deceased," the release states. "A preliminary investigation has revealed that a 61 year old Green Lake male, who lived at the farm, was working on the tractor when it rolled and he became trapped underneath."

   The incident remains under investigation.
