Andrew Radloff receives a face-full of dirt as he slides into third base for an RBI triple in the seventh inning of Ripon’s 8-7 win over Kettle Moraine Lutheran.

Trailing Kettle Moraine Lutheran (KML) by two runs entering the bottom of the seventh inning, the Ripon Tiger baseball showed its mettle Tuesday night.

It scored three runs in the frame, including a pinch-hit, walk-off RBI double by Jordan Finley to win the game 8-7 and improve its conference record to 4-1.

Hunter Merrill started off the inning with a single and scored on an Andrew Radloff RBI triple.

After the next two hitters were retired, Braydon Brewer came through with a two-strike RBI infield single to tie the game and set the stage for Finley to win it.

“Winning was great for a lot of reasons,” Ripon head coach Dan Jonas said of the victory. “It keeps us at the top of the conference [and] it builds confidence. But more important, the players see themselves as a team ... One person is not more important than the team and that is the epitome of a team win.”

The game against KML got off to a good start for the Tigers as Jack Kinziger scored on an error and  Cody Merrill blasted a two-run home run in the bottom of the first inning to put them in front 3-0.
