Braydon Brewer (16) flips the ball to Jack Kinziger (2) as they have a Berlin player caught in a rundown.

The offense for the Ripon High School Tiger baseball team was kept off balance by Berlin pitcher Carter Rhode Tuesday afternoon.

   But Jack Kinziger wasn’t fooled.

The senior squared up a couple balls, which included an RBI single in the sixth inning, to help the Tigers defeat Berlin 3-1 at home.

Kinziger also singled with one out in the fifth and reached third on a two-base error by the outfielder, before scoring on a Brice Peth sacrifice fly to tie the game at one.

Braydon Brewer drove in the game-winning run during the sixth inning, after Tucker Bender sacrificed Jake Henderson to second.

The offense, while limited, was enough for pitcher Hunter Auchtung.

The junior allowed just one run on four hits in seven innings of work, while striking out seven.

“Hunter did a nice job pitching a complete game,” Ripon head coach Dan Jonas said. “We needed it after playing a doubleheader on Monday.”
