Lexi Reetz, Teara Morgenroth and Emily Kollerman have experienced just about everything during their time with the Ripon College Red Hawk softball program.

The three seniors went 4-31-1 during their freshman season and have gradually improved each year, despite having three different coaches in their first three years.

“I joked with them this fall; I said, ‘Well this is unusual, you’ve got the same coach for two years in a row; you’ve never had that before,’” second-year Ripon head coach Steve Wammer said. “They’ve dealt with that transition, which is never easy, but they take on great leadership roles.”

One experience they haven’t had? Making the Midwest Conference Tournament.

Having a shot to win it is one of the main goals for the Red Hawks this season.

“We all want to play in the conference tournament,” Wammer said. “… We were a half-game away last year and I know that’s what they want for their senior year. My hope for the program is that’s where we get to, but especially for those three who they’ve seen the build, they know what it’s about. They’re sharing their knowledge with the underclass[men] and so hopefully we get there.”
