The Ripon High School golf team enters this season in an unfamiliar situation.
It has just seven golfers and little varsity experience, after having 24 out a couple years ago.
But that hasn’t stopped it from having a positive mentality.
“I think that the group came out knowing that they didn’t have as much experience in the game as some in the past, but have definitely brought a great attitude,” Ripon head coach Rick Kelm said. “It’s been a terrific group to be around and they’re going to work hard to improve their skills.”
He added the skill set for golf is pretty exacting and takes a bit of time, but he thinks his student athletes are going to take the effort to take the next step in their games.
Figuring to lead an inexperienced Tiger team are senior Kristian Bradley-Kasten and junior Ryan Cody.
