   Two is better than one.

   At least that appears to be the case for the Ripon Tiger girls’ tennis team entering this season.

    Doubles figures to be a strength of the Tigers this year as they return all but one of their players, who include their No. 1 tandem of Elle Lewis and Hadley Neper.

   Ripon isn’t as fortunate in singles action, however, as its top-two players from a season ago — Dayton Coehoorn and Olivia Reuter — both graduated.

   “What stands out to me [is it] looks like we’re going to be strong in doubles,” Ripon head coach Breck Speers said of his team through one week of practice.

   Lewis and Neper, who will be teaming with each other for a third year — and a second at No. 1 doubles — especially have shined.
