Ripon High School’s Cheer & Stunt team traveled to the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Sunday for the “It’s Showtime Cheer and Dance Competition.”

This year, the Tigers competed in the non-tumble division and took home first place. Along with first place, the team also won the grand champion award for highest total points overall out of 32 teams.

Ripon also entered Deanna Krahn, Hunter Stigen and Kaitlyn Neefe in the co-ed stunt group division. They took home a second-place medal.

In addition to their trophies, the team won T-shirts for being division winners and sweatshirts for grand champions.

“UW-SP is our favorite competition to attend,” head coach Tami Conlon said. “Their head coach, Sue Poeschel, does a fantastic job running her competition. The kids have fun, it is relaxed but best yet she has great WACPC judges who give us feedback that will only help us improve and ultimately that is our goal.”
