The Ripon Area School District is proving you can’t spell “fundamentals” without “fun” this week as it hosts its annual Volleyball Fundamentals program at Ripon High School.

The camp, which is led by Ripon High School head volleyball coach Tracy Landerman, is broken down into two age groups — fourth- and fifth-graders and sixth- to eighth-graders. The fourth- and fifth-graders meet for an hour and a half all week, while the older group wraps up the camp today (Wednesday) after three, three-hour days.

It introduces and teaches the essential skills of volleyball, which include passing, setting, serving, blocking and spiking.
