RHS wrestlers receive state send-off
Ripon High School wrestlers Ryan Socha and Cody Jacobson headed off to the WIAA state tournament this afternoon (Thursday, Feb. 25) with a police escort after a send-off gathering in the gymnasium. The first round of the competition will begin tonight at 7:15 p.m., with their matches probably beginning around 9 p.m. Follow RiponSports on Twitter for updates and results.

Leistikow's Senior Day Moment
Ripon College senior Justin Leistikow, who suffered a career-ending leg injury Jan. 16 when a Monmouth player intentionally stuck out his leg and pushed him to the ground, received one more chance to jump for the ball on Senior Day.

Loewe joins 1,000-point club
Ripon High School junior Luke Loewe joined the 1,000-point club Friday, Feb. 5 with a deep 3-pointer in the Tigers 74-48 win over Berlin. He becomes just the sixth player in program to achieve the feat.

Sabin's beats buzzer against Cornell
Ty Sabin led Ripon College to a 78-77 overtime victory at Cornell Saturday, Feb. 6, recording school records of 51 points and 11 three-pointers, including this game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer.

Sabin hits game-winning 3-pointer
Ripon defeated Illinois College 67-63 last week Saturday behind 34 points from junior guard Ty Sabin, who made 6-of-7 3-pointers, including this go-ahead basket with six seconds left to give the Red Hawks the victory.

Ernst becomes winningest coach in MWC history
Ripon College head football coach Ron Ernst became the winningest coach in Midwest Conference history today (Saturday, Nov. 14) with a 27-7 victory over Lake Forest. With the victory, he moved past former Cornell coach Jerry Clark for the most all-time wins with 160.

Ripon College junior Sierra Landholm, who was born without a right leg, competes in the 1,000-meter freestyle Saturday, Oct. 31 during a dual match with Lawrence.

Red Hawks' big stop
The Ripon College football team stopped the Beloit Buccaneers inches short of the end zone on a 2-point conversion attempt with less than a minute left to preserve a 14-12 victory today (Saturday). It recovered the ensuing onside kick to put the icing on the win.
