     From his pedestal up on high, he’s watched over Ripon for 25 years. ...

     But after a quarter century on guard, this silly sentry needed a little TLC.

     After all, he’s no Superman.

     A mighty mouse, maybe. But no more than that.

     ... And that’s why, for the past few months, he’s been missing (mousing?) in action.

     OF WHOM DO I SPEAK?

     Rocky the Mouse, of course.

     ... He’s the 12-foot rodent precariously perched atop a building at R&R Wash, 1110 Dartford Road....

      “I think it was approximately ’92 when I got it ... I bought it down in Brandon; at the time it was sitting along the highway for sale,” recalls Roger Washkovick, president of R&R Wash.

     LAST FALL, ROCKY went on his first vacation in two decades, with no one to fill his massive paws in the interim.

     Eschewing tropical climes, Rocky opted for somewhere closer to home — the “R&R Spa,” you might call it.

     That’s where he’s been getting a full makeover, ear to tail....
