Kudos to School Board members — Gary Rodman, Nicole Kutz-Menard and David Scott — for their even and reasonable comments about the “Mindfulness” program and its materials being adopted.  

     With all of the past problems with bullying in our school district, one would think that all board members would be willing to try this program instead of worrying about “Eastern religion roots” and whether or not having “positive thoughts and send positive thoughts” is a real thing.  

     Ms. Menard hit the nail on the head when she explained how having positive thoughts can change an individual’s attitude not only about themselves, but also about others. ...
