TO THE EDITOR:

I just spent one of the most delightful, inspiring and educational weeks I can remember working as a volunteer on the Green Lake Association’s (GLA) effort to restore brook trout to Dakin Creek, a tributary of Green Lake.

And I want to beat the drums and sound the trumpets and raise the flag high for the GLA and its awesome partners in this activity!

First, cheers to Stephanie Prellwitz, executive director of the GLA, for her vision and incredible skill ...

Second, cheers to Jennifer Fjelsted for an amazing job shepherding a gazillion people and boots and gloves and lunches and other stuff ...

Finally, thanks to Margaret York, the landowner, who permitted the ATV and Kubota and chainsaws and piles of Christmas trees and straw bales and a horde of people doing all sorts of things all over her land and the creek. ...
